Accessibility statement

We want this site to be usable by everyone, including people using screen readers, keyboard navigation, magnification or reduced-motion settings.

Our target

We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA.

What we have done

  • Semantic HTML — real headings in order, real lists, real tables with row and column headers, and landmark regions.
  • A skip link to the main content as the first focusable element on every page.
  • Visible focus indicators on every interactive element, and full keyboard operability. No keyboard traps.
  • Text and interface colours checked for contrast in both light and dark colour schemes.
  • Text that reflows to a single column without horizontal scrolling down to 320 px. Wide tables scroll within their own container rather than forcing the page sideways.
  • Touch targets of at least 44 px.
  • Decorative illustrations hidden from assistive technology; informative images given text alternatives.
  • prefers-reduced-motion respected — animation and smooth scrolling are disabled when you ask for that.
  • The cookie notice is a bar at the bottom of the page rather than an overlay, so it never blocks the content you came for.
  • The site works without JavaScript; every link and every page is readable with scripting disabled.

Known limitations

  • Comparison tables are wide by nature. They scroll horizontally within their container on small screens; the same information is repeated in the individual product sections below in a linear format.
  • Once you follow a link to a retailer, you are on their site and their accessibility applies, not ours.
