BrewRanked publishes rankings and buying guides for home espresso equipment — machines, grinders, and the small tools around them. Every ranking is scored against a published rubric with published weights, so you can see how a conclusion was reached and disagree with it on specifics rather than on vibes.
Who runs it

How we make money, in plain terms
When you click a link to a retailer and buy something, we may receive a commission from that retailer at no additional cost to you. As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases.
That is our only revenue. We do not sell sponsored placements, we do not accept payment to include or rank a product, and no manufacturer sees a page before it is published. Our affiliate disclosure sets this out in full and our editorial policy explains the separation we keep between the two sides.
We will not tell you that commissions have no influence on a publication like this one — that claim is not credible from anyone who earns money this way, and the FTC now treats misleading claims of independence as a violation in their own right. What we can tell you is specifically what we do about it: the scoring rubric is fixed and published before products are scored against it, commission rates are not a scoring input, and products that pay nothing at all are included and ranked on the same basis as products that pay. Where a product we rate highly is hard to buy through an affiliate link, we say so and rank it anyway.
What we do not do
- We do not publish claims of hands-on testing we have not done. Where a score comes from documented specifications rather than time with the product, the methodology page says exactly that.
- We do not republish retailer star ratings or customer reviews as though they were our assessment.
- We do not use AI to invent experiences, opinions or test results.
- We do not accept free product in exchange for coverage.
Corrections
We get things wrong. When we do, we fix the page and note what changed and when at the bottom of it — we do not quietly edit and move on. If you have found an error, especially a specification that has changed since we last checked, please tell us; corrections are the most useful mail we get.
